How a Blocks project is stored
The editable visual project is stored separately from generated browser output. The model records sprites, scripts, block inputs and editor information.
Block model
The editable visual project is stored separately from generated browser output. The model records sprites, scripts, block inputs and editor information.
Generated files
Before the project runs, Blocks Studio can materialize the block model into real web files. That is how the visual editor participates in the same RC runtime as hand-written projects.
- Generated index.html contains the playable document/runtime.
- Generated CSS and JavaScript behavior remain browser-compatible.
Preserving an original page
When a project first receives a Blocks edition, an existing hand-written index can be preserved under the Blocks metadata area rather than silently discarded.
Source of truth
For a Blocks-first project, edit behavior in the block model and regenerate. Use Code mode mainly for inspection or deliberately advanced integration.
