CAGE applications send scene state, not HTML.

The current CGD1 snapshot carries node identity, parent, bounds, color, flags, type, logical key, text and action. The browser Surface decodes that binary stream into one canvas surface.

Remote input

json{"type":"pointerDown","node":182,"x":421,"y":73,"button":0}
{"type":"keyDown","key":"K","ctrl":true}

Input travels in the opposite direction to the server-side UI VM. Editor changes are sent as editor events and become server-owned session state.

Why retained scene state

  • Applications do not generate their own DOM trees.
  • A node can be patched without shipping an entire screenshot.
  • The same scene structure feeds browser and Win32 renderers.
  • The protocol can evolve toward patch frames, images, audio, accessibility and GPU resources without changing CAGE source syntax.
