Build real games with blocks โ€” without starting from code

RC Blocks Studio gives beginners a Scratch-like block workspace, sprites, a Stage, thousands of organized blocks, and a compiler that turns the project into real HTML, CSS and JavaScript.

What Blocks Studio is

Blocks Studio is a beginner editor inside RC Studio. Instead of typing every statement, you drag colored blocks into script stacks and edit the little values inside them.

The important difference from a toy block demo is the output: when you save or run, the block project can materialize browser files that a normal HTML game can execute.

  • The normal code editor remains available.
  • Blocks are organized into 20 categories instead of one enormous palette.
  • Sprites, events, variables, storage, network, HTML and CSS can live in one visual project.
  • The Stage lets you test behavior before running the full project.

The three ideas to remember

Almost everything in Blocks Studio can be understood as one of three ideas: something starts a script, blocks perform actions, and the Stage shows the result.

1

Choose or create a sprite.

2

Start a script with an Event block, usually โ€œwhen green flag clickedโ€.

3

Snap action blocks underneath it and press the green flag.

Real project output

Your block model is stored separately from generated browser files. That means Blocks Studio can remain editable while RC still has ordinary files to run.

This separation also makes switching to Code mode useful for learning: you can compare the simple block idea with the files produced for the browser.

Where to begin

If this is your first time, use the Getting Started guide. If you want to experiment immediately, open the Interactive Mini Studio page and drag a few blocks into its workspace.
