AETHER is the durable binary and reference fabric

AETHER stores typed references and binary values used by RC, RS, URL-DB and other current control-plane systems. It provides content addressing, revisions, integrity metadata, namespace isolation and recoverable binary generations.

Control-plane objects are discovered through owner-aware namespaces instead of loose filesystem JSON indexes. References carry revision and payload-hash metadata.

Large values and URL-DB chunks share the AETHER binary store. Segment indexes and index snapshots let later process starts avoid replaying every segment when a current index is available.

Live requests should use targeted references or lightweight catalogs. Full namespace enumeration and full-store scans belong in maintenance/background work, never in page startup.

AETHER exposes verification and recovery tooling for namespaces and store data. A non-empty suspicious store is not silently replaced just because it looks logically empty.
